Grit Collector

Grit Collector challenges conventional notions of banking by reimagining systems of value, transaction, withdrawal, and deposit to produce a fluid archive of the surrounding city. The project fossilizes discarded waste and detritus, halting their deterioration and renewing their value as material records of fleeting urban activities. Everyday cycles of consumption and disposal are exposed as the project inhales the grit of the city and makes it inhabitable.
